If the marriage certificate is lost and needs to be reissued, the individual should bring their ID card or household registration book to the marriage registration authority to apply for a reissue. After verifying the identity of the parties, the marriage registration authority will issue a new marriage certificate for them in accordance with the law. After registering for marriage, there will be a file available.
Article 17 of the Marriage Registration Regulations
If the marriage certificate or divorce certificate is lost or damaged, the parties may apply for a replacement with their household registration book or ID card to the original marriage registration authority or the marriage registration authority where one party's permanent household registration is located. If the marriage registration authority verifies the marriage registration files of the parties and confirms their authenticity, it shall issue marriage certificates and divorce certificates to the parties.

Marriage registration does not require pre marital examination. The parties involved can decide whether to undergo pre marital examination according to their own wishes.
Fanneng Law Firm reminds you that according to Article 4 of the Marriage Registration Regulations, when mainland residents get married, both the man and the woman should jointly go to the marriage registration authority where one party's permanent household registration is located to handle the marriage registration.
If a Chinese citizen marries a foreigner in the mainland of China, or a mainland resident marries a Hong Kong resident, a Macao resident, a Taiwan resident, or an overseas Chinese in the mainland of China, both men and women shall jointly go to the marriage registration office in the place where the mainland resident's permanent residence is located to register their marriage.

The conditions that need to be met for marriage:
Marriage must be fully voluntary by both parties, and neither party is allowed to force the other or interfere with any third party.
2. Marriage requires both men and women to reach the age of marriage.
3. Marriage must be a union between a man and a woman without a spouse. Our Civil Code stipulates the implementation of a monogamous system. This requires that everyone can only have one spouse and cannot have two or more spouses at the same time.
