What procedures are needed to obtain a marriage certificate in 2022

The fifth chapter of the Civil Code of the People's Republic of China stipulates that men can get married when they reach the age of 22 and women when they reach the age of 20. To handle the marriage procedures, both parties need to bring their household registration books, ID cards and group photos to the marriage registration department at the place where one party's household registration is located for processing.
I. Conditions for Marriage Registration
Both the man and the woman must marry voluntarily.
2. Age of marriage: Men must be at least 22 years old. Women who are 20 years old or above.
3. Neither party is married (unmarried, divorced, or widowed).
4. There is no direct blood relationship or collateral blood relationship within three generations between the two parties.
Ii. Documents submitted for marriage registration
1. My permanent household register and resident identity card.
2. A signed statement by myself stating that I have no spouse and no direct blood relationship or collateral blood relationship within three generations with the other party.
3. The parties concerned shall submit three recent 2-inch half-length color group photos without a cap.
Iii. Procedures for Marriage Registration
Both the man and the woman who wish to register their marriage should jointly present the required documents to the marriage registration authority of the district or county-level civil affairs bureau (or the town government) where one of them has a permanent residence to apply.
Applications for supplementary marriage registration or remarriage registration shall be processed in accordance with the procedures for marriage registration.
Both parties shall personally go to the marriage registration authority to submit an application and each fill out one "Declaration of Application for Marriage Registration".
Both parties must personally sign or affix their fingerprints in the "Declarant" column of the "Application for Marriage Registration Declaration" in the presence of the marriage registrar.
4. The marriage registration authority shall review the certificates and statements submitted by both parties. If they meet the conditions for marriage registration, the registration shall be granted.
Iv. Time Limit and Fee Standards for marriage Registration
1. Registration time limit: If all the documents and materials are complete, registration will be made on the spot and a marriage certificate will be issued.
2. Fee standard: 9 yuan per couple for domestic marriage registration.
