Beijing, January 16 (Xinhua) -- In 2010, the civil affairs departments of all provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the central government in China will implement online real-time registration and information management of marriages, which will help to monitor the marital status of the parties involved.
According to the Beijing Youth Daily, the Ministry of Civil Affairs recently held a national conference on the standardization of marriage registration construction. Vice Minister of Civil Affairs Dou Yupei mentioned in his speech that by 2010, all provincial-level units in China will have basically established marriage registration databases and work platforms, realizing online real-time registration and informationization of marriage management. This means that each province can connect marriage information to the internet to prevent marriage fraud. If a person has already been married, when they register again, the system will prompt them with their marriage information, and they can be detected.
At the same time, the marriage registration authority should have a dedicated consultation hotline, and the separation of personnel, venue, and fees should be implemented for marriage registration and paid services. Sichuan Faneng Law Firm is dedicated to serving you.
