(1) Scope of Acceptance
We accept marriage registrations from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, overseas Chinese, foreign residents and mainland residents (domestic marriage registrations are centrally registered by each county and district).
(II) Conditions for marriage registration
Both the man and the woman must be present in person when registering for marriage. The minimum legal age for marriage is 22 years old for men and 20 years old for women.
In any of the following circumstances, the marriage registration authority shall not register:
1. Not reaching the lowest level;
2. Not voluntary by both parties;
3. Where one or both parties already have spouses;
4. Those who are direct blood relatives or collateral blood relatives within three generations;
5. Suffering from a disease that is considered by medical science as unsuitable for marriage;
6. The name, date of birth, ethnicity and gender on my household register do not match those on my resident identity card.
(3) Documents and supporting materials required for marriage registration
Mainland residents applying for marriage registration shall present the following documents and supporting materials;
1. My household register and ID card;
2. A signed statement by myself stating that I have no spouse and no direct blood relationship or collateral blood relationship within three generations with the other party.
Residents of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan who apply for marriage registration shall present the following documents and supporting materials:
1. My valid pass and ID card;
2. A statement notarized by a notary office in the place of residence, stating that the individual is unmarried and has no direct blood relationship or collateral blood relationship within three generations with the other party.
Overseas Chinese applying for marriage registration shall present the following documents and supporting materials:
1. My valid passport;
2. A certificate issued by a notary public or competent authority in the country of residence and authenticated by the embassy (consulate) of the People's Republic of China in that country, certifying that the individual is unmarried and has no direct blood relationship or collateral blood relationship within three generations with the other party, Or a certificate issued by the embassy (consulate) of the People's Republic of China in that country, certifying that the individual is unmarried and has no direct blood relationship or collateral blood relationship within three generations with the other party.
Foreigners applying for marriage registration shall present the following documents and supporting materials:

A certificate issued by a notary office or competent authority of the country where the applicant is located and authenticated by the embassy (consulate) of the People's Republic of China in that country, or a certificate authenticated by the embassy (consulate) of that country in China, or a certificate of the applicant being unmarried issued by the embassy (consulate) of the country where the applicant is located in China.
In addition, the parties involved must submit three recent half-length, bareheaded photos of both sides, each about 2 inches in size.
(4) Documents and supporting materials required for divorce registration:
1. My household register and ID card;
2. My own;
3. Where both parties have reached an agreement on matters such as the handling of property and debts through mutual signing.
Residents of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, overseas Chinese and foreigners applying for divorce registration shall, in addition to presenting the certificates and supporting documents as stipulated in items (2) and (3) of the preceding paragraph, also present their valid travel permits and identity cards. Overseas Chinese and foreigners shall also present their valid passports or other valid international travel documents.
In addition, each party involved shall submit two recent half-length, bareheaded, 2-inch single-person photos.
(5) If the legal conditions are met and the required certificates and supporting materials are provided as stipulated, the application will be accepted and the certificate issued on the same day.
